  • Local: user_badges SQLite table (badge_id PK, granted_at ISO, source).
  • Cloud: profiles.badges JSONB column + subscriber_counter table with claim_subscriber_number() RPC.
  • Rule: Ghost badge never revoked after Ghost expires. "Once a Ghost, always a Ghost."

15.3 Marketing Hooks

  • Waitlist emails: "Sign up now → convert during launch week → earn the Founder badge. Permanent. Never earnable again."
  • Product Hunt: "First 500 subscribers get the Pioneer badge."
  • Reddit: do NOT mention badges (feels gamified). Users discover organically.
  • Ambassador outreach: "Lifetime Pro + Ambassador badge visible across the app."
